Movers wanted

Downtown dwellers and workers have a fun option when it comes to exercising. From late April through early October, Civic Center MOVES features free outdoor fitness for all levels Monday through Thursday in Civic Center Park. This year’s spring/summer program gets moving on April 30. Here’s the weekly schedule — Mondays: yoga from 6 to 7 p.m.; Tuesdays: full-body workout from 12:15 to 1 p.m.; Wednesdays: Fitness Tribe from 5:30 to 6:15 a.m. and 6:15 to 7 a.m.; and Thursdays: yoga from 11 a.m. to noon and again from 6 to 7 p.m. Look for Civic Center MOVES flags for class location. Restrooms, changing areas and lockers are not available in the park, so plan accordingly. For possible schedule or location changes, follow them on Facebook.

Pet project

Pet parents know their furry kids need to get their vaccinations, but it can be expensive. The Boulder Police Animal Protection Unit and Boulder Valley Humane Society are giving parents a shot at saving money. On April 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., they’re setting up a pop-up clinic at Valmont Dog Park (5275 Valmont Rd.) in Boulder. Get rabies, DHPP and FVRCP vaccinations for just $10 each, payable by cash or check only. The shots are administered first-come, first-served, so get there early. Dogs must be leashed and cats must be in carriers. As a reward for being a “good boy”, dogs will have the option to play in the park afterward. (Sorry, kitty!) If you have any questions, call 303-441-1874. bouldercolorado.gov/pages/low-cost-cat-and-dog-vaccination-clinic
